Abstract

Sumberwaru Village has great potential in cattle farming; however, the increasing livestock population also generates serious problems in the form of accumulated cattle manure that can pollute the environment. This community service program aims to manage cattle farm waste into renewable energy through the utilization of biogas technology as an environmentally friendly energy source, while supporting the realization of a sustainable integrated farming system. The implementation methods included socialization, training, and community assistance in constructing and operating household- and group-scale biogas installations. The results show an increase in community knowledge and skills in utilizing livestock waste, a reduction in environmental pollution caused by organic waste, and the availability of alternative energy sources for household and agricultural activities. In addition, the biogas residue can be used as organic fertilizer to improve agricultural land productivity. Thus, this program not only addresses environmental problems but also strengthens energy self-sufficiency and enhances the economic value of the local community.
