Abstract

Puger Kulon Village is one of the fostered villages of the Politeknik Negeri Jember, located in Puger District. Preliminary studies revealed that household organic waste, such as fruit and vegetable residues, has not been properly processed. The community tends to dispose of this waste and burn it once it dries. In fact, such organic waste can still be utilized to produce eco enzyme, which serves as a raw material for making environmentally friendly facial masks. Therefore, the objective of this activity was to process organic waste into eco enzyme and further develop it into facial masks. The program was conducted at the Puger Kulon Village Hall and attended by the head of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK), PKK members, village officials, and community health cadres. The methods applied were discussion and simulation. Participants first received education on how to process organic waste into eco enzyme and how to produce facial masks. Afterwards, they engaged in a simulation of eco enzyme and facial mask production under the guidance of facilitators. The results of the activity demonstrated that participants were able to successfully practice producing eco enzyme from organic.
