Socialization of the Using Beauveria bassiana as a Biological Agent for Farmers in Sukogidri Village, Ledokombo District

Abstract

The community service activity's purpose is to socialize the usage of Bauveria bassiana as a biological agent for farmers in the Sukogidri area, Ledokombo District, Jember for the decreasing chemical inputs. A participatory approach is used in this activity, which includes several stages, such as socialization and discussion, simulation of biological agent multiplication, and evaluation. The results of the activity are increasing farmer knowledge related to utilizing biological agents as a way to reduce chemical pesticides on rice plants cultivated throughout the year. The suggestion from this activity is that there will be follow-up activities in the form of direct application assistance in the field so that farmers feel the benefits of using biological agents. In addition, the farmers hoped that they could apply independent propagation to support their sustainability using biological-based inputs.
