Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using debit cards and electronic money (e-money) on the consumer behavior of Semarang State Polytechnic students. The sample was taken purposively as many as 48 Semarang State Polytechnic students. The data collection method applied was a questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed with the help of SPSS 26 for Windows software. The results show that the use of debit cards does not have a significant positive effect on the consumer behavior of Semarang State Polytechnic students. Meanwhile, the use of electronic money (e-money) has a significant positive effect on the consumer behavior of Semarang State Polytechnic students. This is understandable because electronic money or e-money is simpler and easier to make payments.
